"I've always been passionate about reading and writing," says The Wordsmith, "and I'm grateful to have a profession that allows me to draw upon my interests."

At LaGrange High School in LaGrange, GA, Scott Smith won numerous awards as the editor of his school's newspaper.

He also wrote for his campus newspaper at Emory University, where he studied neuroscience,  journalism, and film.

After college, Scott went on to write and produce television commercials for Cable TV of East Alabama in Phenix City, AL. As Creative Director, he met with clients to develop advertising strategies and scripts -- and he even did a bit of acting.

Scott served as Director of Marketing at achooallergy.com for several years, during which time he was instrumental in nearly tripling the company's revenue.

"I've always been a bit of a computer nerd," he admits, "so I loved leading the marketing team at an ecommerce company. The position provided an ideal opportunity to learn about the intricacies of search engine optimization and copywriting for the web."

Scott currently works as a freelance writer and ecommerce consultant, and he is a graduate student of Psychology at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. He lives in LaGrange, GA, with his beloved Adreane and his puppy Rigby.
